(Before you read this review, just saying, this book is about feral cats.) Warriors: Into The Wild by Erin Hunter is a very good book / novel and I'd recommend whoever is reading this book review read Warriors: Into The Wild if they like adventure / mystery. It's the first book in the Warriors series. This book is about a domesticated cat named Rusty that has dreams that he should run away from his domesticated lifestyle and live in the forest. He decides he should go “into the wild” and say goodbye to his pet life. After he goes into the forest he meets some of the main protagonists of the first part of the series: Bluestar, Graypaw and Lionheart. They call themselves members (and leader) of thunderclan and they ask him to join their clan. Rusty accepts, setting up the rest of the series. Warriors: Into The Wild is a great book, and I recommend it to anyone who is reading this. I liked the fact that it shows that feral cats can have their own society. The 4 clans of the forest, Windclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan and Thunderclan, all have their own set of cats. The books include the cats having wars, laws and religion that stayed prevalent through hundreds of years that the cats have been around for. You should read this book this summer if you enjoy adventures and mysteries. Recommended by G. H.

The book “Land of Stories” by Chris Colfer is a great book for everyone. This fiction and adventure book is set in our world and the fairy tale world where people of fairy tales actually live. Conner and Alex a brother and sister got a book for a present from their grandmother who had it for years. It was labeled Land of Stories. One night the book began to glow in Alex’s room. Conner realized Alex was acting strange lately and eventually found out about the book. One day Alex was at home and Conner was at school then it struck Conner that Alex was planning on going into the book so he burst out of school and ran all the way home and opened Alex’s door and screamed. It startled her so she fell right into the book. They were in the fairytale world. They go on this crazy adventure to find items for this spell called "the wishing spell" to get back home. They meet kings, queens, trolls and a lot more and on their adventure there are a lot of twists. It is a six book series. Read "Land of Stories" to get an exciting new look at fairy tales!! This book is full of adventure and magic and of course some (by that I mean a lot) of adrenaline. What is an exploration without adrenaline? The book is about a girl named Stella who is a snow orphan but was raised with Felix, her adopted father. Felix is in an explorers club and Stella wants to be in it too... except the club doesn't accept girls. Felix gets the president of the club to let Stella join the expedition but when they are separated at the start of their journey. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure. I can make a connection with Stella for i wish to always have an adventure at hand. Do you think Stella will survive to see her adopted father? Read The Polar Bear Explorers Club to find out! The Last Last Day of Summer by Lamar Giles is about these 2 cousins who are dreading the last day of summer and when a mysterious figure appears and asks to take a picture disaster strikes! The picture froze the town except for the cousins and the mysterious figure. A man falls out of the sky and wrestles the other guy whose name is Mr. Flux. Then they go to Pete's shop and make some fly paper for Mr Flux to get trapped in and they trap him in the end. It was a very good book. Recommended by C.F. The book Max and the Midknights is a new book from the author of Big Nate, Lincoln Peirce. It's a great book for any fan that has finished the Big Nate series and wants more of this amazing author. The book is about a kid named Max that lives with his uncle, who is a troubador. They live in the middle ages. They find the kingdom of Byjovia that has an evil king that rules by brute force. Max assembles a group of kids to take down the evil king! They go into the forest to train and try to find a way to defeat him. On the way, they stumble across zombies, dragons and more. It's a funny adventure story and teaches the important lesson of the good things that happen when kids work together to overcome a challenge. Recommended by J.S. In the book, Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein, 12 year old Kyle Keely and his friends try to escape from the locked library faster than Charles Chiltington and the rest of the contestants in a race to get out of the library first. In this exciting adventure fiction novel, there are twists, turns, and many laughs. There are surprising eliminations in this contest to be first. What I likes were the parts where Kyle does not think in the most orthodox way about the puzzle to get out of the library. This book is one in a series of four books with Kyle and his friends in different challenging situations. I would recommend all of them if you reading books that are both funny and adventurous! Stickman Odyssey by Christopher Ford is about a stickman who is trying to complete a to save his homeland and by doing that he has to go to the edge of the world and fight huge battles just save the world. So if you’re into fighting, comics, and action I suggest you read this great thrilling book! The only thing I agreed with the stickman about was when they were stuck in a cave and there were two people. One told the truth and one told lies. The person who tells the truth is the one that would get them out. The one that told the lies is the one who would get them killed. So he went to one of them and kicked one of them and asked “did that hurt!?” and the person said “Not at all...” So he knew that he was lying. That was also my favorite part! This book reminds me of Mario Odyssey, which is a video game where you’re trying to travel around the world. They're pretty much the same. Recommended by D.Y. Space Case is a great book. It is part of a series of books called Moon Base Alpha by Stuart Gibbs. I think it is the best book in the series. In Space Case there is a boy named Dashiell Gibson and a murder. A man named Dr. Holtz got murdered, and Dashiell is bored. So what does Dash go and do? He decides to investigate. Now it is up to Dash to solve the case and find the murderer without getting hurt. I like this book because it has adventure and mystery and science fiction. I think lots of people will like the Moon Base Alpha series. Recommended by M.F. |
