(Before you read this review, just saying, this book is about feral cats.) Warriors: Into The Wild by Erin Hunter is a very good book / novel and I'd recommend whoever is reading this book review read Warriors: Into The Wild if they like adventure / mystery. It's the first book in the Warriors series. This book is about a domesticated cat named Rusty that has dreams that he should run away from his domesticated lifestyle and live in the forest. He decides he should go “into the wild” and say goodbye to his pet life. After he goes into the forest he meets some of the main protagonists of the first part of the series: Bluestar, Graypaw and Lionheart. They call themselves members (and leader) of thunderclan and they ask him to join their clan. Rusty accepts, setting up the rest of the series. Warriors: Into The Wild is a great book, and I recommend it to anyone who is reading this. I liked the fact that it shows that feral cats can have their own society. The 4 clans of the forest, Windclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan and Thunderclan, all have their own set of cats. The books include the cats having wars, laws and religion that stayed prevalent through hundreds of years that the cats have been around for. You should read this book this summer if you enjoy adventures and mysteries. Recommended by G. H.

Artemis Fowl is a good fantasy futuristic mythology mystery book for 3rd grade and up. It was written by Eoin Colfer, the author of Highfire, Halfmoon Investigations, and Benny and Omar. Artemis Fowl is a very intelligent boy who is interested in mythical creatures and technology. Artemis’s dad gets taken away by an unknown person. While Artemis is trying to get his dad back he unknowingly unleashes the lepRECON and one special fairy helps Artemis, I liked this book because the comedy is right up my alley, I liked the story, and how they leave you with a cliffhanger a lot. It is a story of bravery and perseverance. I love how they leave you with suspense. It made me want to read more. Recommended by N.C. I am recommending The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. One of the reasons I love this book so much is that it has a mix of fantasy and then also a bit of realistic fiction. For those who are not normally fans of fantasy I am not either but I assure you that you will not be able to put this book down. It is a great story that I could relate to and there are some really great messages. Some of the characters are a girl named Luna, a witch named Xan, a dragon named Fyrian and a swamp monster named Glerk. They are mostly the main characters in the book for most of the middle part of the story but it goes back and forth. Another good thing about this story is there are cliffhangers. The first parts of the book can be a bit confusing but as you continue to read, it gets easier to understand so try to stick through the first part. Also as you get more into the book, it becomes obvious what happened in the first few chapters! This book is about a girl named Luna. She was born in a town that was filled with sorrow. Every year the youngest baby of the town is left in a grove as a tribute to the evil witch Xan, who lives in the dangerous woods with a swamp monster (Glerk) and a dragon (Fyrian). But Luna’s mom does not want to give up her baby and she goes mad because of her sorrow. She gets sent to the tower with the soldiers/scholars, who are called the Sisters of the Star and they lock her up. Will Luna be safe? Will she ever be reunited with her mother? Is Xan as evil as they think? This book has a message of love and how ignorance and fear of danger can make people believe anything. I recommend this book to all the fantasy lovers. It has out of this world creatures, magic, and a great storyline with adventure, bravery, love, friendship, and courage. I assure you that you will love this book! Recommended by S.P. The book The Truth Cookie by Fiona Dunbar is a great book to read. I would recommend this book to kids my age. The Truth Cookie is set in London in current times. The main character in this book is Lulu. She lives with her dad in the city. Her dad has a girlfriend named Varaminta who has a son named Torquil. Varaminta and Torquil are mean and try to make Lulu look bad. Lulu finds out that Varaminta just wants to marry Lulu’s dad so she can be rich. Lulu spends a lot of time trying to show the truth behind Varaminta’s plans. Lulu gets help from her best friend Frenchie and a very special cookbook that she found in a mysterious bookstore. I liked how this book kept me guessing about what would happen next. I normally don’t like books that are fantasies, but there is just enough fantasy to make the book interesting. I enjoyed seeing how Lulu tried super hard to get her dad to see the truth. I would like to read more books by this author. Recommended by K.D. The book series “Warriors” by Erin Hunter is a great book if you like action. The books are fantasy and are about cats that live in the wild. The main character was a house cat but, was very talented at fighting and a cat clan came to him and asked if he wanted to be a part of their clan because they saw he was a good hunter and fighter. The good thing about these books is there are many books in the series, so if you like the series you're in luck. The first book of the series is called “Warriors Into The Wild.’’ And it tells you about the clans and all the details. What I like about the series is at the beginning of every book there is a map of where they live. If you enjoyed this review why don’t you read the series for yourself!!! Recommended by R.L. The book “Little Witch,” by Anna Elizabeth Bennett, is highly enjoyable. The main character is Minikin Snickasnee, or Minx for short, who is a witch born from a mean witch named Madam Snickasnee. She is not allowed to go to school and doesn’t have any friends, but Minx is curious, so one day she sneaks out of the house to go to school. Minx gets put in first grade, and all the kids are afraid of Minx, but one girl stands up to her, whose name is Frances. They become friends quickly, and Minx also becomes friends with Frances’ siblings. Every night, when Madam Snickasnee is away, the friends would go to Minx’s house and experiment with the bottles of potions. They have to be sneaky not to be caught, though. Little Witch is a great book for people who like fantasy or magic. I can also make a connection to Harry Potter, because the Harry Potter books have to do with witchcraft, like Little Witch. This book is really interesting and you should read it! Recommended by N.V. HI! I want to review the book (well book series) "Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard" by: Rick Riordan. This book series is the BEST. It has hilarious sarcasm, amazing fighting, heartfelt love stories, and so much more. And they're cheap even in my opinion. The best one in the series book 3 is only $19.99 USD (Disclaimer may not be actual price do not sell for this much and you will be charged for copyright claims for selling it without the company's permission Disclaimer over), is sooooooo worth the price. Lastly it isn’t a very long read only from 150-200 pages so i would read the entire series in about 4 days and it’s only 3 books. That was my review on The book series “Magnus Chase And The Gods Of Asgard" Have a good day and bye. Recommended by P.R. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is one of the best books you’ll ever read. The author J.K. Rowling does a fantastic job. Although this is a fantasy book, it still has realistic situations on multiple occasions. This is the first of 7 incredible books. Harry Potter, a normal 10 year old boy that has never met his parents has lived with his uncle and aunt, who have hated Harry his whole life. Then on his 10th birthday he is told he’s a wizard! Then he goes to a wizarding school, and he has incredible journeys and meets friends along the way! Harry Potter is a fantastic book and I recommend it because it’s so unpredictable! Whenever you think something is going to happen it, it might be the exact opposite! Another reason this book is amazing is because of the message it sends of friendship and doing what’s right. In conclusion, Harry Potter is a great book for all ages, and I hope you’ll read this amazing book! Recommended by N.Y. Over the Moon is an extraordinary book full of creativity and emotion. Natalie Lloyd is the author of Over the Moon. It is a fantasy book with exciting characters in it. The main character is 12 year old Mallie Ramble; a servant to a family called the Tumbrels. The Tumbrel family is awfully mean to Mallie, and they treat her like dirt on the sidewalk. Part of why Mallie gets bullied is because of her popsnap. A popsnap is a stiff, fake arm that replaces her real one. Mallie is brave and fierce, but the Tumbrels’ bullying bothers her. Her home, Coal Top, isn’t your everyday place. It’s covered in dust. Not regular dust on your window, but dust clouds, blobs, and goo. If you inhale the dust, it feels like your insides are turning to ash. Bad memories will play in your mind again, making all emotions upset. Dust isn’t the only thing in Coal Top that’s a problem. Denver, Mallie’s little brother, might be in trouble. Mallie sees an opportunity to help Denver. An offer to go on missions and earn rewards every time your mission is complete. It might not be what Mallie thought though. Mortimer Good is running the program, but how good is he and the offer? Read “Over the Moon” to find out more surprises and secrets. Recommended by Ca. L. I recommend the book Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. This story is about an oak tree named Red who is, if i don't say myself, a very popular tree who gets a lot of wishes but some people don't like that. The genre of Wishtree is fiction. Some other characters in Wishtree are Bongo and Crow. I don't really think that a tree and a crow really could be good friends but they make it seem like they were always friends. What I liked about this book is that there were a lot of cliffhangers which just made you want to keep reading. Recommended by V.K. |
